Prior
to drying , we sort our ginseng root into two categories. The first category,
mixed root, consists of roots that are free of disease or damage and range in
size from small to large. Most of these roots have substantial crowns and
wrinkles, making them similar in appearance to wild ginseng. All are sold to
long-time customers and hence, are not included in the listing below. The
second category, low-grade root, consists of roots which are identical to our
mixed roots in medicinal value but are inferior in physical appearance, e.g.,
some were damaged during the harvest process and others are very small. Some
years, we have low-grade roots available for purchase.
